is an independent Ukrainian public organisation
Working at the intersection of children’s mental health, research, education, and policy.
Since 2022, we have supported children and adolescents whose childhood has been shaped by war — loss of parents, ambiguous loss, occupation, deportation, captivity of loved ones, and other complex war-related experiences.
Our work combines direct psychological support, long-term follow-up care, professional training, research, data, advocacy, and the protection of children’s rights.
Since 2022, Gen.Ukrainian has supported more than 1,100 children with complex war-related trauma and worked with hundreds of psychologists, educators, and specialists around them.
In partnership with the Kyiv School of Economics, we are developing Gen.Hope — a Centre of Excellence in child and adolescent mental health in war-affected contexts.
Gen.Hope connects frontline practice with research, education, data, and policy dialogue to build long-term solutions for the generation growing up during the war.
