Past / Future / Art Memory Culture Platform
is a memory culture platform
Dedicated to memorialising the Russian-Ukrainian war, creating artistic projects focused on engaging with the past, and advocating for changes in memory practices in Ukraine. The platform curates exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, organises artistic laboratories and memorial design competitions, and develops educational projects that engage wider audiences in reflection on the past.
Past / Future / Art initiates public discussions on collective memory and collaborates with Ukrainian state institutions and civil society actors in the field of commemoration.
The platform is developing a glossary in collaboration with specialists in Memory Studies, history, philosophy, art history, and international law. The glossary serves as a foundational reference to key concepts and terms used in memory work and engagement with the past. It is intended to help non-specialists navigate the central questions and debates of memory studies. To date, the glossary includes more than 100 entries in Ukrainian and continues to expand. The project has also launched an English-language version of the glossary.
