of Recovery
is an NGO and media network
That brings together independent media outlets, civil society organisations, think tanks, experts, and community leaders around the issue of Ukraine’s recovery. It elevates local stories and issues to the national level, supports regional media and civic initiatives, conducts monitoring and analysis, and advocates for the importance of independent journalism in the recovery process.
The organisation also enhances the international visibility of Ukraine’s regions and demonstrates that civil society and the media are an essential part of the country’s recovery ecosystem.
Window of Recovery brings together more than 140 independent media outlets, civil society organisations, and think tanks, including over 60 regional media outlets and civic initiatives. In 2024, the network awarded 92 subgrants, resulting in the production of 842 media pieces. This strengthened the capacity of local newsrooms to cover recovery and reconstruction efforts, monitor developments on the ground, and tell the stories of communities that are often overlooked by mainstream media.
