Mission is to protect the rights and freedoms of people affected by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and to support their social, economic, and other needs.

One of Helping to Leave’s projects is “Territories Are People”, which assists Ukrainians in the process of evacuating from temporarily occupied territories (TOT) to the areas controlled by Ukraine. The project aims to encourage residents of Ukraine’s major cities to support people from the TOTs and to provide information on how they can do so in cooperation with Helping to Leave. It also seeks to highlight the strength and resilience of displaced people and residents of the TOTs by increasing their visibility and raising awareness of the challenges they face within Ukrainian society.

One of the organisation’s main areas of work is the evacuation and reintegration of people from the TOTs, particularly youth. As part of this work, the organisation collaborates with the President of Ukraine’s Bring Kids Back initiative. In 2025, 64 people under the age of 25 were evacuated from the TOTs with the assistance of Helping to Leave, while the organisation  welcomed 1,052 people under the age of 25 at the humanitarian corridor.
