Ukrainian Volunteer Service
is a civil society organization
That has been developing the culture of volunteering and mutual aid in Ukraine since 2017. Its mission is to support and empower those who care for others. The organization provides assistance both to initiatives that support civilians and to volunteer communities that meet the needs of defenders, veterans, and their families, thereby strengthening Ukraine’s resilience and defense capacity during wartime.
Among the organization’s flagship projects is the Volunteer Platform, a digital resource that connects volunteer organizations and initiatives with people willing to contribute to their activities. The platform was created in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine in 2021.
As of early 2026, the platform is used by more than 1,200 civil society organizations, while between 20,000 and 35,000 people submit applications each month to participate in volunteer opportunities and projects. Through this platform, Ukrainian Volunteer Service helps to make volunteering more accessible, organized, and impactful across the country.
